Why did you decide to start Personal Training (PT)?
I used to lead an unhealthy lifestyle due to my work schedules and social events. After many failed weight loss attempts on my own, I decided it was time to make a change for good. I wanted to seek professional help to guide me on my journey by building on my fitness knowledge.
What made you start PT with ReFormd?
As a beginner, I was clueless about everything in the gym as I have never touched weights before. It was also a little intimidating and awkward to start off alone in the gym, with all the new people and equipment. I wanted to start my gym journey with proper knowledge as well. With all these in my mind, I chanced upon ReFormd's judgement-free zone where I could have 1-1 training with personable trainers with their well-equipped place. This was exactly what I was looking for.
How have you benefited from PT compared to when you first started, and now?
Before joining ReFormd, I had zero knowledge about weights, gym equipment and nutrition. The past 3 months of training under Kester's guidance has really impacted my outlook of fitness positively.
Kester's training was always well planned and informative. Every session was a new learning experience as he makes it a point to explain the muscle groups targeted and the correct techniques in the easiest way possible to make sure I understood it. He also constantly introduced new exercise routines to ensure every session was fun yet challenging.
He also made the effort to constantly check in to make sure my meals were going well and even shared his tips on nutrition. I eventually learnt about finding the right balance between eating out & having some treats here & there.
With that, I've seen tremendous improvements in both my physique, strength and mental health. The results of Kester's coaching has given me newfound confidence. I have benefited by becoming a lot stronger and fitter than I was before, with the help of his drive and motivation in helping me to achieve my goals. Thanks to him, I am able to lift heavier weights that I never thought I would ever have the strength to carry.
I can’t emphasize how amazing these 3 months have been in terms of the changes in my body, not exactly in terms of weight loss but how I look and feel about myself. Trusting ReFormd was one of the best decisions I made this year. It changed my lifestyle completely & most importantly, sustainably with a healthy mental state.
I feel comfortable hitting the gym on my own and it is now something I enjoy doing without dreading it.
