Why did you decide to start Personal Training (PT)?
In 2020 when covid hit the scene, I started working from home. Work has always been very stressful for me which led to me gaining weight as I often snack when I’m stressed and not monitoring the foods that I eat. Apart from that, the stress also led to sleepless nights which affected everything that was going through during the day, such as poor food choices and having low energy.
Without realising, my weight increased by 10 kg, which brought about my depression that made me reluctant to hang out with my pals, as well as not being able to spoil myself with clothes.
What made you start PT with ReFormd?
In 2022, I started a New Year's resolution by taking the first step into starting my fitness journey. That’s when I saw Anytime Fitness Geylang Bahru gym and got myself a membership along with a Personal Training Package.
How have you benefited from PT compared to when you first started, and now?
I have learned a lot from my trainer from ReFormd Personal Training, including nutrition which led me to lose 10kg in the period of 8 weeks; exercise execution — making sure when he’s not around I execute correctly for some of the movements safely; prioritising form rather than going too heavy; and lastly, educating me along the way. For example, the importance of sleep and how it can affect one’s performance, etc. Overall it has been a great journey with ReFormd Personal Training and I have renewed my PT package numerous times with them!
